The structure of the optical cable is to insert single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers into a loose tube made of high modulus plastic filled with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a non-metallic reinforcing component (FRP). For some optical cables with certain core numbers, A polyethylene cushion layer is extruded from the outside of the non-metallic central reinforcing piece. Loose tubes (and filling ropes) are twisted around the central reinforcing piece to form a compact and round cable core. The cable core is longitudinally wrapped with water hose, and a polyethylene inner sheath is extruded. The outer side is twisted with aramid yarn for reinforcement and then an outer sheath or an AT resistant outer sheath is extruded to form the cable.
Installation method: Self-supporting overhead use on power poles and towers.
